Curriculum

All classes use the “Creative Curriculum”. This

nationally approved program allaws chilren to

achieve a sense of trust, value, and success. We

promote learn through play techniques and small

group activites. The Creative Curriculum is

developmentally appropriate and based on ten well

organized interest areas that offer children choices of

activites. The areas we offer are blocks, dramatic

play, computer, sand and water, cooking, table toys,

art, reading, music /movement, and outdoors.

Meal Time

We provide a nutritious breakfest, lunch, and snack

daily. We ask that parents not bring outside food

into the center since the children receive well

balanced meals in adequate quantities.

Nap Time

Nap time is essential to regain energy for those

tired little eyes. We provide cots for the children to

rest on. Each cot is clearly labeled with the child’s

name and is sanitized weekly.

Discipline

At Children’s House of Learning, Inc., we believe that

constructive activities keep children entertained and

act as a deterrent to discipline problems. We believe

in positive reinforcement and modeling good

behavior. If a discipline problem should arise, we will

guide the child to other activites. If we feel

necessary, the child will be sent to take a break (time

out) untill he or she feels comfortable returning to the

daily activities.

Daily Communication

Each classroom has a Daily Report that documents the day’s events such as nap, meals, activites, and any special experiences.

Newsletter

We send home a yearly calandar and a monthly newsletter informing parents of upcoming events.

Visitors

Families are invited to visit, call with questions, suggestions, and volunteer

their time. Pleas notify the center prior to your visit.
